Reclaiming dignity + hope + life
Now we have a future…
Akmat grew up in the Soviet tobacco fields, in work that depleted the soil and withered his spirit. In 1998, he met Stanley Brown, a Reclaim agriculturalist who inspired Akmat with a vision to transform the symbol of the tobacco leaf into an apple, reclaiming the soil’s heritage to restore hope and a future.
“Thanks to Stanley’s vision and God’s will, we have removed the tobacco symbol. Reclaim showed us, taught us, and helped us live a different life.
It wasn’t just for me, but for my family – my children and grandchildren.”
Dinara watched her father’s transformation. His vision now lives on through her as she manages her own orchard while raising her five children.
“My husband and I work side-by-side in the orchard, and our children join us. Because of Reclaim’s training, my family not only has income, we have hope, knowledge, and a vision to see our village bloom for generations to come.”
