VIBRANT COMMUNITIES + SUSTAINABLE FUTURES

Planting Seeds of Hope

Will you join us?

Reclaiming dignity + hope + life

Meet Akmat
& Dinara

Akmat grew up in the Soviet tobacco fields, in work that depleted the soil and withered his spirit. In 1998, he met Stanley Brown, a Reclaim agriculturalist who inspired Akmat with a vision to transform the symbol of the tobacco leaf into an apple, reclaiming the soil’s heritage to restore hope and a future.

“Thanks to Stanley’s vision and God’s will, we have removed the tobacco symbol. Reclaim showed us, taught us, and helped us live a different life. It wasn’t just for me, but for my family – my children and grandchildren.”

Dinara watched her father’s transformation. His vision now lives on through her as she manages her own orchard while raising her five children.

“My husband and I work side-by-side in the orchard, and our children join us. Because of Reclaim’s training, my family not only has income, we have hope, knowledge, and a vision to see our village bloom for generations to come.”

This is the power of your partnership: families restored, generations empowered, and communities transformed with dignity, hope, and life.

HELP VILLAGES THRIVE.

Reclaim community development programs transform the vulnerabilities that lead to poverty and nurture healthy communities where individuals can flourish, lives are reclaimed, and hope is restored!

Making long-term flourishing possible

Community development + flourishing

Reclaim works in community development in Kazakhstan through education, agriculture, and health and wellness. We provide programs that respect local communities, meet needs, and encourage people to pursue values like love, respect, mercy, acceptance, and forgiveness so that communities can thrive!

Decentralizing knowledge + best practices

Expertise + training directly
to the farmer.

Rather than centralize training at a farm facility, Reclaim brings our qualified professionals directly to the farmers themselves to foster local networks of farmers who can help extend the investment we are making towards more sustainable food supplies and family farms.

English skills for better job opportunities

Light on a Hill expands job skills through English training.

Light on a Hill seeks to improve the skills of English-speaking teachers, which in turn improves the language abilities of their students, preparing them for jobs in the future. We do this through English practice online with locals through a “virtual pen pal” relationship, English clubs and camps, English practice with local students, advising, mentoring, coaching, and teaching owners of local English teaching businesses.

  • "I was able to transform a former trash dump site into a productive stone fruit orchard of about 120 trees. My neighbors didn't think it was possible!"

    Turgan, Fruit Farmer

  • "Our village has been greatly impacted. Over 100 farmers have learned how to prune because we have taught them what we learned through the program. Now we are making good income all winter pruning regional orchards."

    Umut, Trainer

  • "It's hard for me keep up with all of the farmers that ask me for advice on how to plant new orchards and/or improve their current trees. My goal is to train new workers every year to keep up with the growing demand for orchard crews."

    Raidin, Trainer
